AIID facility update – building strip-out underway

All buildings on the AIID site are now vacant and enabling works are continuing this month. The strip-out of existing buildings prior to demolition is well-underway.

In a major breakthrough, researchers led by University of Melbourne’s Professor Tim Stinear, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Mycobacterium ulcerans at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity (Doherty Institute), have solved the 80-year mystery surrounding the spread of Buruli ulcer.
