The design development phase for the Australian Institute of Infectious Disease (AIID) facility is now 80% complete. The three Foundation Partners (the University of Melbourne, Doherty Institute and Burnet Institute) and the Victorian State Government endorsed the 80% design report at the AIID Project Steering Committee on 7 November. Achieving this milestone allows the project to move into the final phase of design, bringing the facility one step closer to fruition.
An Expression of Interest process for the main works contractor has been completed. The Request for Tender process is anticipated to commence in the first quarter of 2025.
