The Australian Institute for Infectious Disease (AIID) has instructed the Project’s early works and demolition contractor, Kane, to prepare for and mobilise piling and excavation works on the AIID building site.
Following the completion of demolition works at the end of 2025, the site has been closed and will remain so while Kane finalises the design for the next phase of works. Mobilisation for piling works is scheduled to commence onsite in late March.
Meanwhile, the tender process for the main works construction contract is ongoing.
