The Australian Institute for Infectious Disease (AIID) will be housed in a new, state-of-the-art facility in Melbourne’s Biomedical Precinct.

Architecturally designed by Wardle and engineered by Aurecon, with laboratory engineering by Wood, the $650m project will award a main works contract and construction will commence in 2026.

Construction of the facility requires the delivery of a significant infrastructure program over several years with a multitude of skills, labour, resources and other inputs.

The AIID project is eager to engage the best and brightest contractors and suppliers across a multitude of industries to ensure the successful delivery of this critical project.

Companies and suppliers interested in working on specific aspects of the project are encouraged to contact aiid-delivery@unimelb.edu.au
