The Australian Institute for Infectious Disease (AIID) will comprise the largest critical mass of scientists, public health professionals, global health practitioners, and research programs and platforms in the southern hemisphere, and will lead the charge against infectious disease locally, nationally, regionally and globally.
To achieve our vision, the AIID seeks to build partnerships with respected, highly experienced and visible philanthropic leaders who understand the global health landscape; have a track record of visionary investment that responds to community needs and seek to make transformational change.
Early philanthropic investment is critical to enabling the successful launch of the AIID. Our goal is to raise AU$50 million to harness Australia’s world-leading research excellence in infectious disease with the goal of protecting human health and preventing future pandemics.
